About your gratitude to the Red Army

I’ll write some thoughts about why we shouldn’t be grateful to the USSR:

Marxism-Leninism The Soviet Union is one the few counties that had a state agenda - to conquer the world (this is no joke, read the Soviet constitution, see its coat of arms) and its state philosophy, its ideology, its religion was a thing called Marxism-Leninism - which is basically the ideas of Marx about what a new society should look like and the very practical interpretation of Lenin and his biggest intellectual heir - Stalin of how to do achieve it. According to their(Marx’s, Lenin’s, Stalin’s) ideas the way to do it is by WAR. World War. Don’t be fooled by the big books the ideas are pretty simple - its just Lenin was a bad writer and most of it is just meaningless garbage (that students in Easter Europe had to cram until recently), and let me explain them to you:

capitalism grows into imperialism, and empires cannot sustain themselves and so they go to war; when that war ends, the misery caused by it will make the workers revolt and Communism triumphs world wide

Well we all know that it didn’t work quite as expected - in WWI the revolution caught on only in Russia (which was a big yet relatively undeveloped industrially country) and not in Western Europe and especially Germany where it was supposed to. So a worker revolution has to take place in Germany and it did but it didn’t succeed (November 1918) so Germany has to be "liberated" so the real world revolution would begin. The only problem that Russia didn’t even had a border with Germany - Poland was between (and well, still is between Kaliningrad oblast and Germany) so a Polish-Soviet war was begun in 1919.

Stalin before WWII When Stalin came to power in 1925 knew that Russia was too weak after the war so he sought to create the war machine necessary to conquer the world. He ruthlessly suppressed his opposition and even destroyed those populations who were considered untrustworthy (prone to opposition and rebelion) and that was what the Golodomor whas about: he feared the Ukrainian peasants, because they had property, land, they were the least fanatical, least controllable, they were a part of a centuries oppresed nation that had all the reasons to distrust both Russia and the Soviets which destroyed their newly created state in 1921. So he initiated a Genocide - the Golodomor of the early 30es which not only killed 9m people ( the majority Ukrainians, but also Crimean Tatars, Greeks, Bulgarians, Jews, Russians, Armenians and other peoples that inhabited the then ethic kaleidoscope o f Southern Ukraine). The wheat that was supposed to feed people was sold (five million tons were exported during that period), and giant walls and fences were erected to don’t let them escape or struggle. He sacrificed many more and robbed what Eastern Europe had build for centuries (I’m talking about churches, museums, the palaces of the tsar and the aristocracy - anything that could be sold ). He also sold to the capitalists on the black market the natural resources of Russia. This had only one reason - he was preparing for war: he needed artillery, tanks, planes, ships, ammunition and everything else for the world’s biggest and most powerful army. And he certainly built the worlds’s best army - it couldn’t be matched by anyone else. For example it had the only real tanks (BT, KV, T-35) in the year 1941 well before the famed Tiger tanks (1943 and still inferior), the German tanks were gasoline powered and the Soviet ones were diesel powered (all gasoline tanks) and also the Soviets can overwhelm them with sheer numbers - the Kharkov Lokomotive plant had a side production in 1933 as Heinz Guderian himself reported that was 22 tanks each day. Do the math - Nazi Germany had 3000 in 1941 and none in 1933. When the war began the SU had more tanks than the rest of the world combined. Not to mention the million paratroopers it prepared. And it wasn’t just tanks it was also other weapons and machines, but most importantly he had the resources to wage war, and the German Army was starving for them. You know, in those days infantry walked, or if it was lucky rode a horse or a bicycle for thousands of miles - oil products were used for tanks, ships and planes and was never enough. Artillery was mostly horse-drawn - the mobile nature of WWII meant that horses were used more than in WWI (!), where soldiers didn’t need them much in the trenches. If you read about the Molotov-Ribentrop pact, you’ll understand that when Hitler conquered most of the rest of Europe in 1940/1941 he was really happy that he didn’t have to wage a two-front war like hes predecessors did in the WWI - he also liked to point the futility of such warfare, and did pretty often. He also invaded France, Belgium, the Netherlands with machines powered by… Soviet oil products(!!). Also when he invaded the Soviet Union he did with an unprepared army and expected to conquer it before winter came (the Germans fought in summer uniforms on the Eastern Front in the whole duration of the war). He knew that an invasion of the Soviet Union was a suicide. So what happened to Hitler in 1941?? Did he go nuts?? He didn’t defeat Britain and the Commonwealth yet, and Roosevelt was behind it and he hated his guts, and searched for ways to convince the American public to join the war. So why did he attack the Soviet Union which although it was an ideological enemy was practically an ally?

The Preemptive Strike and WWII The answer is simple - he didn’t have a choice - it was a Preemptive strike. He realized he was got tricked by Stalin - the Red Army had started deploying its troops along its border with Germany and an attack was going to commence in either 1941 or 1942, so he desided to attack first. A very good analogy can be made in 1967 during the 6 day war between Israel and its Arab neighbors . Egypt and Syria each having much more troops, tanks and planes than Israel were gathering international support for their actions before the war began. They were deploying their troops along the border and were about to attack. The Israelis knew this and sent their all their planes (not many then, by the way, the USA weren’t behind them then.) over the Egyptian airbases and bombed the hell out of them. The Egyptian airforce was mostly destroyed without ever lifting off. Using their air superiority and the element of supprise the Israeli army destroyed the concentrated Egyptian Army and reached the Sinai. The same fate reached Jordan and Syria (she barely participated while pretending to be the most active). But unlike the Arab countries Stalin’s USSR survived a preemptive strike, and actually went to "liberate" countries. Two-thirds of combat in Europe took place in the East.

So whats my point why should you be grateful to a power that wanted to conquer you and enslave you? What do you think the Soviet Union would do if Hitler didn’t launch a preemptive strike? What did you think the Soviet Union would do if the United States didn’t get the Atomic bomb? You would be A.) Conquered by the Red Army (not a nice thing - when they liberated Budapest four-fifths of women and girls were raped, a regular order called "to bend the pride of the Enemy" used also in Germany and Austria), and you would be probably born in the Netherlands Soviet Socialist Republic. B.) the Red army will invade West Germany right after WWII and WWIII will come, or rather WWII will not end because the Bomb was the only thing that convinced the Japanese Emperor Hirohito to end the war. Remember that on Okinawa people fought the machine gun and rifle armed Americans with spears and preferred suicide to being captured. In preparation for Operation Downfall (the planned invasion of Japan) millions of dead Japanese and from half a million to a million dead Americans were estimated in an successful outcome. (how many were the casualties of the atomic bombings? 300 000 is horrible, but consider the carnage they prevented). Even if only tactical small scale atomic weapons were used there would be no way that the Red Army would win this time.

Stalin lost the war, and he knew it, because the goals of his war was world conquest or at least a conquest of Europe. It was a genius plan amazing in its simplicity and the elegance and the complexity of the execution. Stalin chose Hitler to begin a world war and aided him in any way possible to begin it. When the imperialists destroy each other there will be all the needed soil for the World Revolution, but this time the revolution will come after the Red Army.

Be grateful instead to the 100 000 good people that were involved in the Manhattan Project.
